The ideal candidate will have experience in the outoor power or agricultural equipment industry and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to customers on the repair of their equipment.
The Service Writer will also be responsible for maintaining positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
Responsibilities Provide customer service and technical assistance on equipment repairs Ensure the highest level of communication with customers regarding status or repairs, expenses and changes in work order status Work with other departments to ensure that customer needs are met on a timely basis Maintain regular communication with management regarding customer needs, problems, and concerns Develop and maintain knowledge of equipment systems, components, and components' replacement or repair Provide recommendations for improvements to equipment systems, components, or procedures Assist with inventory control, predelivery inspections, and company fleet maintenance Assist with sales calls, service calls, and warranty claims provide weekly progress and profitability reports of service department Required Experience High School Diploma or GED required; College Degree preferred.
A valid driver's license is required.
1-2 years of experience in the outdoor power or agricultural industry preferred.
A minimum of 1-2 years as a Service Writer or similar position in an automotive environment is preferred.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be willing to learn new processes and procedures.
Must be willing to assist other team members when needed.
Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
Must be able to lift 50
pounds regularly.
Must be willing to work standing for 8-10 hours at a time, sometimes longer depending on the weather/temperatures.
