Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of the pharmacy department in a hospital setting - Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient medication management - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes - Manage pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations - Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards - Monitor medication inventory levels and coordinate ordering and restocking - Provide clinical guidance and support to pharmacy staff - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to effectively manage a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals - In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and inventory management - Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards in pharmacy practice - Ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations - Strong problem-solving skills to address complex medication-related issues Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
