Supervision:
Reports to Transportation Regional Manager.
Executes work under direction or established procedures 50% of the time; works independently setting work schedule priorities 50% of the time.
Does not supervise others.
Primary Purpose:
This position assists in the dispatching of transportation personnel, receiving and responding to calls from customers and in-house personnel; data entry, systemic and administrative support; and providing a level of customer service that fosters internal & external customer retention and growth. Implement & sustain such procedures as to make the day-to-day operations within the Transportation Department as efficient, safe and effective as possible.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Tracking and management of supplier purchase orders (PO's).
Driver Pay request & expense entries.
Quality audits of driver & load Management systems. (i.e. total mail errors, unmade, unconfirmed, unassigned, directions, system attributes )
Administration of driver expirations & compliance.
Administration of driver re-current training.
Administration of Regional Driver ETA data entries.
Administration of Regional Driver Time Off & special request entries.
Administration of Regional Driver off duty / light duty report.
Facilitation of regional pallet recovery.
Coaching of Regional Dispatch Clerk.
Transfer coordination and confirmations between distribution centers
Dispatcher alternate for driver assignment.
Facilitation of positive interaction activities / events with Regional Drivers.
Assist in truck management activities
Assists in making customer and supplier pre-appointments and appointments.
Assist Clerks in making driver confirmations.
Inbound Call Center service.
Communicates with internal and external customers resulting in positive interaction.
Active participant / leader in empowered team environment.
Occasional Work Performed:
Overtime as needed to manage the requirements of the job duties.
On-call responsibilities when Dispatcher is out of office.
Training / participation in Total Quality Management (TQM) & Continuous Improvement teams.
Projects as assigned by Dispatcher or Manager.
Safety Responsibility:
This position assumes responsibility for the workplace safety of self and co-workers, and for the safety conditions of the work location, exercises and p romotes safe behaviors and shows unyielding support of programs, rules and policies regarding safety.
Wage Range: $11.42 - $17.13 per hour

Qualifications: Requirements: High school diploma or general equivalency degree required, college degree preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong Dot Foods/ DTI or other business operating systems computer skills.
Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) rules and regulations
Advanced level Microsoft Office Applications (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Access)
Strong organizational skills.
Exceptional interpersonal & customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
Occasional overnight travel required; ability to independently travel without restriction by a ll modes of transportation, including car, plane or train to attend meetings and training as needed. Job: General ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
