Job Description:
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Make sure all departments have raw materials and to bring finished good pallets to proper area.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
oBe sure all materials for departments are in place to be able to meet production schedule. Be sure all materials are on the requisition form for inventory control. This would include frames, boxes, glass, media or wire.
oMake sure full pallets are taken back to stock and placed neatly in their proper location.
oMake sure hoppers are emptied. This would include trash, metal, and wood.
oMake sure raw materials department is kept clean and orderly.
oTake broken pallets out and put them in their proper place.
oAdhere to all safety regulations in forklift operations.
oPerforms other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
oHigh School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
oMust be able to read and write English.
o1
year(s) forklift driving experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
oDiscard of damaged pallets.
oEnsure that all pallets are in the proper condition prior to stacking.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
oMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
oMust be able to sit for extended periods of time.
oMust be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
oMust be able to withstand both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions.
oMust be aware of people walking in front of oncoming forklift.
oMust be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
