Assists Engineers in maintaining environmental compliance for the refinery. This may include process data collection, file review, process instrumentation drawing review, field audits and environmental regulation review.
May also assist in the data and field management for the groundwater recovery system for the facility.
Communicates written and verbally with operations, engineering and maintenance departments at the refinery, state and federal agencies, trade organizations and corporate on issues affecting refinery operations.

Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Candidate must have earned at least 60 credit hours by time of internship. Candidate must have earned at least 60 credit hours by time of Spring Co-op or Summer Internship. Graduation date of August 2015 through May 2017 considered. Spring 2015 Co-ops will be required to work 40 hours per week.
All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). It is Valero's policy that employees must wear this card at all times while working at the refinery. Please review eligibility criteria at

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
